300ex VS 400ex

How does a 300ex compare to a 400ex? What I mean is I had a 400 and it got stolen. Im looking for a new one and have found a good deal on a 300ex (stock). I have never rode a 300ex and do not want to be unhappy. I ride about 45% street trick and the rest is woods and feilds.

Agreed!!! They are a fine little quad but you won't want to step down to one since you've already had a 400.

id wait until u come around to a good deal on a 400 , no use to spend money on a 300 , and a 400 ex is way faster than a 300ex.but choose what ever suits u better, good luck.

The 400ex is better. The 300 is good for messing around on, but you will be disappointed after a few days of riding it.

300ex sucks compared to a 400ex. A 300ex is just like a 250 with just better rear shock, and only goes like 3 mph faster then a 250.Go with a 400ex.

I dont know never been on. Never owned anything but a 400ex and I rode some other 4x4.

300ex is WAYYY better than a 250, better suspension geometry, chain drive, manual tranny, bigger in size, better acceleration, ect ect. What i dont get is why the hell do ya'll care about the top speed? I race TT and i still hardly ever hit top speed, its all about how fast you get there. Hell I could gear my bulit 300 to go 120 but it would take 3 minutes to get to top speed, and probably have to have a rolling start.

i know 300's and 250x's that will eat alive 400s and 416's, dont be dissin the 300, wait till i have pics of my nationals 300 in about a month

I think he's talking about the 250x and in that case there isn't much differnce.

ne hes talkin abouyt the 250ex...the 250x and the 300 are the same...it has been basically unchanged since it came out in the late 80's

Well in that case there identical exepct, the 250x has a slightly larger cam lift and duration, kick start, and different graphics. And the rear shock is the same too.
