Is the polaris 400 not good enough?

I go riding with my freind alot and he got a 97 Polaris Trailblazer. I got my 250X and he wants a new one. I beat hime by only a little in the drag races and he thinks he needs a blaster to beat me ( but what from i hear, with my mods i should be able to take a blaster). His dad got a jeep and stopped riding so he offered him his polaris sportsman 400 for nothin and he still wants to BUY a blaster. He said he wants a sport feel, doesnt the polsris like feel sporty? Its a solid rear axle i think (correct me if im wrong). What do you guys think about this?

my friend has a 400 polaris, 2x4, and it feels like a4x4, it is huge, everytime he tries to race me, he flips it because its too big, its a powerful quad, and fast if u have even a few mods, but yea it has a 4x4 feel to it, the rear axle on myy friends bends realy easily too, because he hit a telephone pole and it fliped in a ***** and the axle was bent tho whole way! lol but nothing else wrong,. Its a strong quad, but like i said, it dont have a sporty feel to it.

but my friends was a scrambler 400 tho, dunno if the 2 400's feel any different?

i dont think he actually wants the feel , but just to say he has a sport quad which i think is dumb

Hell no the polaris is a slow big independent quad it has a jello seat u cant even ride agressively. thats all i have to say i would never buy a polaris especially the sportsman look into your other options like the kawi or yamaha

If you sport ride the sportsman might not be for you but if you like to go out and get back without being stuck all the time get the sportsman it is up to you on what you ride and how you take care of it i have a 1994 sportsman 400 4x4 and i have never had any Probs other than brake pads,and a center tightner my Polaris is older than most and it still gets me back EVERY TIME

polaris is junk!!!! if he wants a sporty ute then get a rancher 350 2 wheel drive. there lighter than most utes and they have the power to wheelie or get the back end sliding.
