hey im 5,3 and i am lookin for a good xc bike which do u think would be best , also i dotn want something that is goin to break down all the time. i race a modified blaster at the moment in xc, thanks. later.

id say 300ex, but that might not be a big enough step from a blaster. 400ex might be to big, z400 sit a little more tight, but sit a little higher and may make u feel uncomfortable. No one can really tell you dude, go try some quads out for yourself or keep what you have, till you grow a tad more.

DEFFINETLY a 400ex
my friend used to have a blaster just like yours, and hes about 5'4 and we race XC together. A 300ex would be a downgrade if your used to a suped up blaster. PLUS they are normally more reliable than a blaster.

id get a 450r or 400ex. i used to race xc on my blaster and now i race with my 450 and i love it.i am 14 6ft tall and i race with my friend who also has a 450r and hes 15 5'3 5'4 and he has no problem with it either. id ride them and see wich one you like more

kool , do u have any pictures of u and ur friend racin. thanks ,

im 16 and weigh 115 and am 5' 10" and i made the switch from a 300ex to a 450R and I LOVE IT. its so much better ride and so much more power. But if you get a 450 then dont ride ur blaster again because you'll get used to the power of the 450 and then get on the blaster and blow it up. When I get back on my 300ex I run the piss out of it, to the rev limiter all the time.

dont waste your time on an outdated 400ex or an underpowered z400, just get the 450r and you wont ever have to worry about upgrading your bike when you want more, becuase you will have the best
stock, the 450r has a smooth power delivery, so you can get used to it, and has the same ergos, if not better than a 400,
and when you want more power, just upgrade the motor with a pipe or etc.
and you will fly
and the suspension on the 450r is awsome, good for any type of racing, i race mine xc and it works perfectly
the 400ex has crappy stock suspension, and the z400 isnt far off,
so i would just go with the 450r
(of course the yfz ifs also good if you like yamaha, but has a powerband more suited for mx, not xc, and is less comfortable)

Buy whatever bike you want, just get the bars set up and it shouldn't be an issue. My girlfriend is 5' and she rides my 400ex with no problems, I have CR Hi bars and it makes it comfortable for her, also you can see about messing around with the foot peg height, I believe the AC propegs will help with that.

really any bike you can setup for what u do even the mini's but the 450r you dont have to do that much stuff to it to make it race ready because the suspension is already compression and rebound adjustable and the preload is adjustable also.

450r all the way. drop in 13t front spocket, pipe and tires your set to rock,
Start of race!(about 60 riders in each class)
