My axle had about 1/4 inch of play in it...So i replaced the bearings....3 rides later it has 1/4 play in it again? Also my rear sprocket has some play as well as my rear disk brake....Is my carrier bad or what?

first - retorque the two axle nuts. It is virtually impossible for the carrier to go bad unless you can see visual damage.

You really need proper tools to torque the two nuts properly. It is bad to over or under torque the nuts. You want to put enough pressure to keep the bearings seated against the pipe sleeve but not too much. The bell nut gets tightened first then you hold this nut while you tighten the locknut against it.

Just sounds like your axle nuts may have loosened up on you.

well...as a few others said check your axle nuts...but...if the locknut on the axle is not tightned down fully then it will cause play...check and make sure that its not loose...
