Well went for my third ride today on my new 04. On my way home the trailer tongue decided it would snap off and let the trailer and 400ex go down the road by itself, luckily the back end of my explorer brought it to a stop. I should also mention that the chains on the reciever sanpped to.The bumber got a few dings but on a good note the quad is ok. It happened about 4 blocks from my house. I decided i would drive the 400 home and go back for the rest, I turned onto a side street popped a wheelie and there sat a sherrif car. The look on his face was classic. Long story short he followed me home and told me about a friend of his that races quads. I guess he must have felt sorry for me.

ur a lucky sob. round these parts in nebraska u go down main on ur quad and u got urself a ticket and a meeting with the county judge.

You definitely got lucky. A lot more damage could have happened and you could have had that nice new fo hunderd impounded. Once I took my 125 3 wheeler to the local store about a mile up the road. While turning on to my road, I looked back and there was a sherrif behind me. He stopped me and said that it was illegal to ride and that I was speeding. LMAO. I knew it was illegal but I played dumb. As for the speeding part, he said I was going around 55mph.....on a 125 3 wheeler.

I should have told him that he was full of $h!t but I kept my mouth shut and he just escorted me to my house and told my dad that I need to riding off road only.
