Anybody know prices for this stuff? I'd like to get some small parts PC'ed, then maybe my A-Arms and swinger, or even my frame. Do colors matter? Excuse me for being an idiot but I really have never even looked into this until just now. I wanted a black with red flake clear. Oh, and sorry for breaking the no chat rule

really pappy is not the only person who can do it. he is good but it will probably be more convienant to take it to a local shop to get it done. heres my advice. go to lowes or whatever store u got and buy a WHOLE bunch of 4mm 6mm 8mm and 10mm bolts. put em in the bolt holes of your frame but dont tighten all the way. when u get it back take the bolts out and u have clean bolt holes with no need to retap or anything.

while i do tell folks to always check locally, you need to make sure they know what to powder and what to leave bare. i have redone so many parts from shops that have no clue what they should not coat on a quad. and any shop that tells you that you are responsible for taping off areas or plugging holes does not deserve your business.

oh yeh im not sayin that u do bad stuff but i would def. check out some of the shops work before i paid for my frame to get coated by them. im just sayin i know ur really busy and one would have to box up the frame pay for shipping and stuff.

All the orange stuff is a buddies of mine quad that I am helping him put together. Lsr frame/houser suspension / my old 465 motor.

Pappy's picture is pretty close. The frame in my picture has gold flake in it too.

Looks diffrent shades depending on how you look at it. Diffrent powder suppliers have diffrent names for the same and or slightly diffrent colors too.

Ya I got one of the Hot Coat Systems and been doing some stuff for fun, parts for my truck, quad etc. I've only used the eastwood powder so far. It seems quite pricey.

How is Columbia for price and quality?

anyone have pictures of fading powdercoat from one color to another? Has anyone ever tried? We just powdercoated my buddies raptor and we faded the frame from onange in the front to yellow in the rear. We just got it together about an hour ago. Tomorrow we are going to wash it up and i will post some pics.

whats wrong wilson you dont like the powdercoat? Sounds to me like you might be a bit jealous because we have had nothing but compliments on the both quads. Finally finished.

Spiced Berry Translucent over chrome- Frame, sprocket, hubs, top of throttle, possibly the pipe soon, but will probably be selling my HMF and buying a new Nmotion Pipe.

110% Black (makes it look wet)- Bottom A-arms, Swinger, bottom of throttle, Nerfs, bumper,

Chrome PC- Top arms

High Temp PC in Silver- Header Pipe (holds up really well)

I think it turned out really nice. My bf did a great job on coordinating. All PC was done at the Powder Room in Kechi KS

At Lorac in Wichita KS just the frame is like $600...which is ridiculous. we found someone who does it on the side, which naturally may take longer but we got everything i listed up there ^^^ done for $270. idk what other people charge

Completely depends who you go to you will have to check with your local powdercoating/paint specialist. I had my 400ex frame done a few months ago for 125 bucks, I have heard other people say they paid like 800 for a frame and some a arms. Its a crazy world
