Anyone on here with a new YFZ try to find an older one that is bone stock and drag race it and let us know the difference. Just curious to see what happens

Willing to bet... not much. A guy on YFZ Central had an 04 that was all set up the way he wanted it, traded it in for an 06 b/c of the BIG H/P increase. Same bike, same feel. Still a good bike, but basically a waste of money for him. Now he has to rebuy all the snit he had on his 04

its a slightly lower compression, slightly larger displacement, power shold be very close

swing arm is longer, a arms are wider, dual piston calipurs front and rear...they changed the seat (still find it uncomfortable), larger displacement, i believe some carb changes, and i think the suspension is different in the rear

If you go and look at one of these and compare it side by side you will see little changes like little guards here and there. Also i think the rear grab bar was different? I am going to pick up my 05 today so I will do a comparisson.
