On the oil filter covers, on the kfx/ltz's, How tight should the bolts be? Is 12lb's of torque to tight? The book says snug but not to over tighten, but one persons snug is diffrent fron another's. Anyone know the torque?

just use a 1/4" ratchet. snug is about how hard you turn a door knob when your seeing whether it's locked or not. use good judgement, obviously don't go so far to where it actually stops getting harder to turn- then you've messed up threads.

It seems that 9lbs of torque is right, I tighten up the bolts till they stop, but not to over tighten them.
