how often does it start on your bikes?

If you don't ride in alot of mud and slow most people will tell you that you don't need it but it won't hurt to leave it on. I race mx so I never put the fan on.

it barely weighs anything so i left mine on and i do mx. sure it will turn on sometimes on really hot days. i dont think its worth it though

Mine turns on, on very hot days and when im riding all out.
