my R is running like a hoopty. its sputtering and bogging and its just running horrible,i can peg it and it barely goes,, im thinking maybe carb problems,, i changed the spark plug, and it has a clean filter, and havent changed anything else from when it was running good,,, anybody have an idea, what this might be??????

It could be a multitude of problems. Jetting could be off, poor compression, air leak, gasket, broken reeds, or even any combination of the above...

Yep...

Clean carb jets and check float
check reeds
check compression
Check for crack in intake boot
Check for good ground or shorting

its 2 stroke can only be so many things and all very little things.

Its been hot as hell lately, if you dont dial in your jetting to the weather/riding style... you might be runnig too fat if its the same jetting you run all yr

Most ppl do run the same jetting all yr and wonder where the prob comes from

Remember .. summer jetting (leaner) and winter jetting (fatter)

Plug chops are the key
