do the front stock shocks fit on stock a-arms of a raptor? wondering for some improvement in ride.

Posted by: RaptorRacer45

Yes they will bolt right up after some very slight mods......u have 2 grind about 1/4" off the top shock mount for the Rezzy 2 fit and ull also have 2 grind some off the bottom of the shock so the bottom mounts line up......but the ride is alot better and the looks are great, well worth it

im thinking about doing this too, can i see a picture of a raptor with the yfz shocks, and a close up of what you had to grind would be great

Its a great mod. Ive done it myself and love it.

looks sweet as hell, i like it alot....

Posted by: RaptorRacer45

Its was really easy 2 do also, ive seen it done on another Quad or 2 w\ aftermarket shocks and decided it would be cool if i tried it out 2

Posted by: 660WickedRappy

how did you do it exacally, when i get the yfz shocks on mine i am going to do it.....how did you do it?

Posted by: RaptorRacer45

cut the top off the can w\ tin snips or sometin like that, then just put 1-2 layers of Duct Tape around the Rezzy......slowly work the can up onto the rezzy (dont force it 2 bad or it will crinkle), once its on there fairly snug just pour a stream or 2 of superglue or sometin along that line down there and let it dry and its done.....only had 2 fix my 1 side once after lots of jumpin but havnen had a problem since

Posted by: 660WickedRappy

im ganna try it out....i really like it thanks

Posted by: RaptorRacer45

Good luck....make sure u post u some pics when its completed

Posted by: Foxracin

Or you can just use some hose clamps so you dont have to mess up your shocks with the super glue and tape.

Posted by: RaptorRacer45

U could but that would take away some of the appearence.....either way works though

yfz shocks sound like a pretty good mod, but can I run them at stock ride height? And retain all my suspension travel, or will I gain some or what? I heard that with rebound adjustment you lose 3/4 of an inch of travel. I can handle all grinding nd cutting.

Posted by: RaptorRacer45

Yes u can set them up for Stock ride height......my Quad sits virually no different w\ mine on and yes they do give u a but more travel....believe me ull notice the difference and its good
