Recently i was looking over my 400, and noticed the front left fender was cracked right where it is held to the bracket that holds on to the frame. Any one else have this problem, and would a plastic welder help this problem? Hot glue is wat i have right now , but aint holding as good any more after a couple weeks.

That just broke last week on mine also.

lmao! i should just have no fenders, no plastic in the front, lol, well does a plastic welder work, and hold it together?

i had a xtra L brakcet laying around....so i boltem then together...one upside down and one normal...then i bolted the fender onto it like a fullbore mount

Both mine are broke...and I can't figure out how to supported them! I'm thinking about making a bracket, drilling 2 holes in the front hood, and bolting it right down...cuz these brackets don't hold **** anymore!

do uyou guys ramp, cause afetr i started ramping, it started cracking when i noticed, and only my left one is bad so far
im going to try to make a braket and then ill tell u guys how it works

My fender also broke int he same spot, I cut a piece of scrap aluminum and put to small self tapping screws through it to hold the aluminum brace on then just bolted the fender brace back on to the aluminum.

mine cracked in the winter and when i was racing the fender broke fron the top mount to the front i ziptied them and cut the fenders yesterday and there is no stress on the break

i just use a soldering iron and some plastic shavings and weld the plastic back

Posted by: 400exc

the shavings thing sounds good, i might try that

lol yeah, same thing happened to mine...im still deciding on a solution...i hate to drill through the plastic tho so i might just try a plastic welder and melt some extra shavings on around it for extra support.

i do wat yz said it works great

on my 300ex the plastic broke and i used a plastic welder to put it back together...it didnt look all that great and it was very touch it you pushed on it...plastic welder wouldnt be the way to go

well... after a long time, i finally got time to fix the problem. I just took a little peice of alluminum (sp), and drilled 2 holes in it. And bput the bold that orriginally holds the fender on and put that bolt into one hole, and drilled a hole into the plastic and put a small bolt into that and tightened it. It has held for the past 4 weeks, and no signs of it breaking more. I recomend anyone to try thisn if they have the same problem with their fender.
