I wanted to know what options there or mods on replacement of the rear shock. My wieght 175# an every time I catch air I BOTTOM OUT...

... What did you do to fix this problem.??

Your going to cath hell for this post everyone is going to tell ya to do a search! But anyway there are alot of us with the 300ex's that are doing the 2001 raptor rear shock swap. I just bought one of e-bay this week for mine. If your lucky you can pick one up quite cheap too I ordered mine for 93.50 U.S shipping inc. I can't wait till I get it I'll post how it is when I get it on I'll also post lots of pics too.

some people say the 01 raptor shock mod is better than a works rear shock. i would agree with them especially since i got mine for $50 shipped

its a very good rear suspension mod.

reconmaster: no and why not.

try searching this mod and you will find alot of threads with more info.

no thanks, im gonna keep the 300 untill the end of summer than im just gonna give it to my sister and pick up a 250r. thanks for the interest though.

Hey, thats cool. IMO, those are the 3 best quads ever made, 450r, 250r, and 300ex. Personally I hate 400ex's with a passion, so you really cant get any better than those 3.

I picked up 2001 raptor rear shock for 47$ + shipment on e-bay.
It looks very cool.

To install it on the bike it needs two spacers for each side of all eye. (7.5mm wide)

The original raptor shock (inside) eyes is not wider as needed.
