I want to paint some parts on my chest protecter black.
I am going to use that new spray paint for plastic. But do I have to prep it first? How do you do that? And will I have to clear coat it?

Start off with some 200 grit sand paper, then 400, 600, 800, 1000 maybe even 1200....just to get it nice and smooth...then apply a light coat of Krylon Fusion..just barely cover it, wait until it completely dries...then apply another coat...keep doing that until you thinks its good...but I think about 5-6 coats would be plenty...

Do not put a clear coat on.....

Also, for this paint to be fully chip resistant, you have to wait atleast 7 days without any use.
