Hi guys,

I was wondering which year was the best production.

I have a 2001

I have ridden a 2003 and it seemed like they have less bang IMO.

i dont think they changed much from 02-05 so id go with the 02 cause you can find them used and cheap, or if you have the money go to the dealer and get an 05 that didnt sell last year

01 run nice...other then there little transmission problem. 06 Im sure is going to be quite nice

There all great besides a bug here and there.....but besides colors mainy notin major has changed, still the same great Quad since the beginning

The '01 was geared for the worse. This is why they have transmission problems. When you have one replaced/repaired, they put a newer tranny in it. ('02-'05)

yeah they are a litle faster but your 2nd gear will go out so 02 and up are the best year

The tranny went out on my friends 01 he dropped $700 on it as soon as that MFing engine is back in the next thing he puts on it is a for sale sign.. hes getting a 450r

My neighbor had trouble with his 02 a lot that the 03 didnt have

So 03-05 good

i thought the 01 where faster just cost more money cuz of the trans breaking down but when it is fixed but i like the 01s

I would say the 01's with the upgraded
tranny because the 01 had a better back
shock, the sub frame is Aluinum,the rear
linkage is aluinum (sp) they had metal
front rotor covers,wire mess rad. gruard
on all the new one,s the Al.parts were replaced with steel
and the steel parts were replaced with plastic
plus I got one

Oh ya one more thing
no rev limiter on rev on the 01
02 and up got him
