Hello' just sold my 400ex and got a 05 raptor and would like it to be a little wider, I herd you can put the rims on inside out to gain a couple of inches is this true or not good practice.

Yes it can be done, it will put more stress on the front wheel bearings and it will steer a little harder. It is really up to the you if want to do it. Mines been this way for about a year riding MX and other while I save up to do the front the way I want and so far so good.

No they are offset the wrong way it would make it narrower, for a cheap temp way out try spacers.

Yea try out spacers, I heard they hold up decent if you get a good pair, I wouldn't reccommend lowering the raptor either, You cant really jump them with lowering kits.

The other big problem with going inside out you can't get a pump on the valve stem. Trust me me and some buddies all where riding and he needed to pump up his tires no way we could get any type of pump air hose nothing on it.

Thanks for the info fella's what size do the rear wheels spacers come in, I spend 60% in the sand and 40% in the woods so what do you recomend as a good allround width, a couple of inches maybe?
