Depends on how big you go. A mild port job shouldnt hurt it.

a port and polish would only help the motor and gain hp if it has work done to it.

its better for reliability more than just about any mod other you can do to the motor

port and polish wont hurt reliability. it jus cleans up the casting.

I had a 12 oz cup of metal taken out of my head when it was ported and it hasn't hurt anything.
