I went to tighten my chain up today and the top 2 of the 4 bolts would not budge, so I put some PB blaster on them and they are stuck like their striped? They move just a little. Damn JUNK!! It's an 05 and I never messed with the chain yet?

They get tight and lots of junk gets in those threads.

If you haven't stripped it out yet, try putting a loong bar on yur ratchet and get as much leverage as you can. You can move the world with enough leverage.

I got both bolts out and they were both stripped? I took the parts to the dealer, and there gonna hook me up with new stuff. I know a lot of junk would get into that area so I took my air nozle to the area before i tried to take the bolts out. What a crapy idea suzuki had huh?
Oh well I hope I dont have that problem again.

Would itmake sense to install those bolts from the bottom up so each nut is on the top of the swingarm? Maybe the exposed threads are taking abuse from the terrain as you ride?

my friend and I had heck off a time getting those bolts loose on his. His is an 05 also. they wernt stripped though

mine were tight as heck too and the stupid carb screws rounded off really bad they need to do something else next year

Change the carb screws to allen head cap screws. 1 Problem solved.

HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!

I have a KFX400 with a FMF factory 4 full system (power bomb header, and free flow pipe) the exaghst came with a jetting kit. I tried taking off the bowl screws but strip all but one and got just that one off. If anyone out there knows "special" way to get them off please tell me how to.

Get a small handheld impact driver...I have done many a carb kit and those brass screws are a PITA..Give it a light tap and they come right out.

Or you can use a chisel and a hammer and tap the screw on the side at an angle and get them to come out...

Maybe the exposed threads are taking abuse from the terrain as you ride?"...but i think that if u turn the suzuki set up upside down then the bolts will hit the back brake cause the bolts are to long...but its easy to get a shorter bolt...so if that worked then another problem solved....!

i know its a ***** with bad screws and bad design but after workin on blasters z400s are a walk in the park. a blaster is thee worst bike ever to work on the design is stupid. but you ahve to acnowledge its hard to design them

ya it is a ****ed up design i guess.......but im pretty sure the yamaha blaster is the easiest quad to work on there....

yes its the simpliest but everybolt in the case has to be drilled out and the overal design makes everything a pain in the *** i would work on a kfx400 anyday of the week over a blaster

Correct me if I am wrong but when you adjust the chain are you supposed to loosen the 4 bolts a little bit or a lot?

to get the pos carb screws off get a dremel tool and put slits in the bolts so you use a flat head to get them off, and for the allen screws pm me i got some.
