300ex

I like the EX and the Warrior, dont ride them enough to say which is better though.
Posted by: reconmaster
300ex warriors are 2 bulky and feel like thiers pwers a lil ahrder 2 get 2 and mojaves i cant stand them
Posted by: rippin2
i remeber the majave is best outa there class for woods..
Posted by: Honda MaNiAc 01
i like the 300ex n mojave i hate the warrior but i gotta pull for the mojave they are great through trails
Posted by: hondaguy2
I like the 300ex and the mojave both are pretty equal quads. Mojave really revs in mid- top and 300ex has great low end power. The warrior sux I had one for a weekend to ride and i'd rather ride a utility through the woods than that. The 300ex and mojave are a tie for me.

Warrior...rode one for a year and a half, gotta represent!

I prefered riding my bayou than a warrior a few years ago! a guy i rode with had one i hated it. I bet it was a dream when u got ur 400!
Posted by: hondaguy2
yeah it was like night and day. The warrior was junk oil leaks, case was broke the thing was beat bad. I was so glad to get rid of it and best of all i picked up my 400 a week later for 2100 and is in mint conditon. I would take a 300ex or majave any day over a warrior.

i agree. my dads is great for the tighter trails where you cant fit the real wide quads in. if you tighten the shocks all the way up on it, it is great for trails.

I love my 300ex on the trails. Its pretty snappy, which helps, plus it handles pretty well too. I rode my buddy's warrior, which he took apart, cleaned up, and rebuilt the motor when he got it, so it ran like a champ. I rode it for a good hour and i didn't like it compared to my 300. The power wasn't too bad, but i liked the delivery of my 300 much better, plus the handling and ergo's was 10x better on my 300 too, imo. When we dragged, i beat him by a good 4 quad lengths till i hit the rev limiter, then he slowly, very slowly, putted past me. I got a good 40 pounds on him too, he's a descent rider, and his warrior has a wieseco high compression piston, air filter, and a Big Gun full system. Never ridden a Mojave, but i have never been too impressed with them. I'd go with the 300ex any day!

300ex, warrior is a wanna b racer

my 300ex is awsome in trails but the next best is the mojave or at least the one my friend used to have i bet it was one of the most modded ever he let me ride it once and once only and i loved it.

I have had extensive experience with the warrior and 300ex.
The 300ex has a shorter wheel base than the warrior. This means a couple things. The 300ex rides and pulls wheelies easier than the warrior, but the warrior can be easily pitched out into a much more controlled slide. In the woods, this is very handy. Just about any tight corner or tree can be spun around quickly in any of the first 3 gears.
I prefer the 6 speed over 5. It doesnt help in drag races, but it gives you more of a choice in the woods. Stock for stock, a warrior is still faster in a straight line and the warrior has much more torque and about 5 mph on the 300.
Suspension - you dont want big air on either bike so its not worth arguing over.
Handleing - its a preference, very different characteristics.
Honda has a slightly better idea of reverse on the 300ex, but niether bike is very easy to get in and out of the gear.
Both machines are about as reliable as sport quads come.
The warrior gets my vote. Its the better bike for the average trail rider.

id say the 300ex still and 1 my little borhter owns one and 2 my freind has a warrior and when someone siad they could beat 400s well i dont think so i just about beat in everything even take off power and top end proubly cause its a 416 but still i bet a stock 400 could beat it
04 400ex 416ex
uni air filter
dual exhaust
elderbrock carb
dyno chip
300ex 2002
razor rear tires
thats it
polaris expidtion 425 4x4
snorkel system in it

i own a 300ex and owned an older warrior which wasnt in the greatest shape but ran well
the warrior stock was slightly slower than my 300 with an exhaust jet kit and filter
i am 6"2 220lbs the shorter wheelbase is nice even for me i completly disagree with what u said stock to stock i could turn my 300 better than the warrior in trails do the the weight of the warrior
suspension isnt all big air... over the whoops and stuff the 300 is more comfortable in my opinion the warrior really beats u up with the weight jerkin u around
now on the other hand i have not ridden a newer warrior and supposily they are lighter arent they?
personaly i think it is just rider preference between the two quads
the mojave is a different story all together to small for me at least and the low end isnt the greatest but 4th and 5th gear are very responsive but i havent had enough seat time to say anything about the handling on this bike

Tires could have been causing you some trouble there too. The stock warrior tires were probably the worst they could have put on there, but I agree, its mostly just a preference. They are both very good machines.
- The new raptor 350 is a little lighter, but they did it by replacing steel with plastic and aluminum. Its basically the same as the warrior, but the tires are much better in stock form. However, its overpriced, so if I were buying new, I think the 300ex is the best mid-sized quad to buy right now.
