Will 17 1/2 inch long works shocks fit stock a arms and actually perform well for xc bc i know the stock legnth is about 15 1/2? This is on a 400ex. These shocks are also set up for +2 a-arms on mx. If they will fit but need revalving that is no problem also.

no. they wont work. shocks are too long.

i agree, the answer is no. why? every minor adjustment means something. if you get longer a arms, etc, it alters your suspension. now, you want to get shocks that are 2 inches longer and are set up for +2 arms. not good b/c the shocks will be permanently compressed and will never give you the ride you want unless you get them redone before you install. even then they arepossibly too long and waybe long travel suspension is the way too go, or atleast a arms and get the shocks revalved. your decision!!!
