i know this question has probly ben asked a bizilion times but... is there any whay you can take something off or cut a wire or something to get it to start in gear??

Can you not just pull in the clutch and kick it?

i can start my 450r in gear...but by your screen name i assume your talking about the 400ex..i know on the yfz you can disconnect the wire and it will start in gear

just pull in the clutch and push the start button

unless u got a aftermarket perch.....if you didnt tie those 2 wires together i suugest you do so you dont have to find N every time

If you have a 450r just pull the clutch in and kick it!

400ex's start in any gear... but i thoght you had to put 450r's in neutral to start them... cuz a kid down the street couldnt get his started when he bought it... and i kicked it in gear and it wouldnt start and i poped it in neutral and it fired that first kick

well you can start it in gear when its warm...but for some reason it starts easier in N when its cold..i dont know why it just does..

Mine used to start in any gear, but now the whole bike just kicks foward.. I have been messin with the cable though.

u can start in w/e gear..its just harder then in neutral

It is harder to kick in gear when cold than warm so... that explains it.. learn something new everyday,,,
