Which 4stroke for dunes?

What's the best 4STROKE for the dunes with a few mods? Like for all around duning like treeshots,dragging,hills,jumps, etc.

I would say either yfz, 450r, rapter, ds 650. One of those.

YFZ. the 450r is a close second. Its just about preference.

id get a raptor before id get a yfz or a 450r for the dunes. its all sort of preference though.

If you want to jump and ride hard the 450r and yfz450 are the way to go. If you want to go out and cruise around then I would say the raptor is a good choice but like you said its all preference.

you can ride a raptor hard and jump a raptor just like a 450
i would choose a raptor over the 450s because its got more power to rip threw the dunes, not because i would just be crusing around.

The raptor is heavier and has a higher center of gravity. The 450 will smoke a raptor in the dunes. Obviously you have never ridden a 450 and you think because the raptor has a bigger motor that its faster. They do have a lot of torque but if you were to drag race a 450 against a raptor the 450 would kill in through the gears if it was a long race the raptor might catch up because its top speed is 4mph more appproximately!

I'll agree with the guys on the order.
1) YZF450
2) TRX450R
3) 660R Raptor
Undecided is the 700r Raptor. It may be the new banshee replacement.. so we'll have to see. Haven't seen one in action yet. It's definatly made for the dunes though. But, I'm not gonna pass judgment on something I haven't ridden myself, or even seen ridden. But, keep an eye on it, it certianly has a lot of potential.
However I'm not sure how they went with an aluminum frame and only lost 2 lbs.. lol. Of course it is 3" wider than before and the alumnium is up top.. so it won't be tippy.

i have ridden a 450 before so shut your mouth. just because we would choose a different quad doesnt make either of us wrong its personal preference on which one you would get. i like the raptor more because it would fit me more and my style of riding.

personally i would go with the raptor IMO. but thats just me....i have never ridden in the dunes at all and i havent rode the 450r yet but i rode a YFZ and its a great quad completly stock hands down, and with a few mods it cant be beaten but for the dunes i would choose the raptor

How do you figure?
Personally I never liked the Ds's. Ive never been to the dunes, but on the trails it felt like you were riding in a truck not on an ATV. The things too huge and bulky. But like people have been saying its personal preference.

ok first of all never get a raptor over a yfz or a 450r anyday...raptors are mad gay and slow...they are a wreck, i had one and i think my cousins 90cc predator could beat it...SERIOUSLY!!!
DEFINITLY THE YFZ OR THE 450R....NO RAPTOR!!!
