I am looking for a MOTORCYCLE 15w50 or 20w50(is there that big of a difference?) weight oil for my quad and can not find it anywhere. Who makes it and where can i get it. Also could i use mobil one v twin 20w50 in my 400ex even though its not a v twin? what other oils do you suggest?

Thanks

auto zone has these oils. i don't think the 15w50 is a motorcycle-specific oil, although, it's what i and many others on this board run. it is great. i've also ran the v-twin version, and it is also excellent, but twice the price.

don't know from experience, but amsoil and maxima (sp?) are supposedly good oils, from what i hear.

i just use penziol 10-40. it is great. since i change my oil a lot, i dont spend money on synthetic.

I use quaker state 10w-40 for protection beyond 3000 miles. Never had a problem at all. I use it in my truck, my quad and my streetbike.
