hey guys... recently at my supercross race i broke the swing arm bolt tab off of my frame.

it slammed the swing arm straight into my engine and broke the left and right case open enough to stick your fist in it. and cracked my swing arm.
when i got the engine out i noticed the other side looks like its been welded up too

i was wondering if anyone else has had any problems with cracks in the frames in that area

I've had the same problems.

If you are going to continue racing, you should consider adding gussets to some critical areas such as that one and others.

yeah i have it all stripped down getting ready for powdercoating so i might as well gusset some other areas.. anyone know any other weak points other then the foot curve and swing arm bolt tabs?

Make sure you beef up the motor mount area.

The bottom of the frame (near the a-arms mounts) where it is really narrow.

The subframe area as well.

I would reinforced the shock mounts as well (at least the rear one)

also reinforce your seat latch area.... mine is cracking on me. and i gotta get that welded up, or else ill come off a jump and i might end up sittin on the swingarm
