has anyone ever installed a fan on the radiator on a 86 250r to keep it a little cooler? i ride alot of hills, kinda a lead and follow type of riding, a lot of idiling thanks,ronny

I did it once. I don't have it on right now, but I will install it again soon.

You need a AC to DC converter from Ricky stator or other place.
250rs only produce AC voltage (12Vac), and you need DC to run the fan.

You will need to install a battery too.

It may sound like a headache but it is not.

I rider desert terrains and I am pinned most of the times. I needed a cooling fan to avoid piston seizures.
