Anyone know what's considered fast for 1/8 mi drag race on pavement. I've gone 9.04 @ 72.5mph. I haven't lost yet, but I haven't seen anyone who knew how to launch their stuff right either. Spanked several modded banshees and some raptors.

Last week at Colonial Beach Dragway, I ran an 8.70 at 74.9 mph. Pretty good for HRC cam and Baldwin exhaust I think... My reaction suck, but my 60 ft time was 1.80..

With stock gearing, 20" heavy golfcart tires, and an HMF slip on with the lid off, my best was around 9 flat at 69 mph.

I got a buddy who has that yamaflaw he runs at Colonial Beach and he runs 8.50's at74 mph. We drag on the road 2wks ago and it wasn'tbad for my first drag on that bike w/another 450. He only won by like 2-2.5 bikes he didnt start pulling bikes til 3/4 way thru 4th. He was thinkinghe would win by 5bikes. he says all he has done is filter,jt kt,gytr ex,quickshot cover and degreed timing. after the timing it only ran 8.70. He also has guy tuning who has worked at a shop, now has own, and placed like 2nd in distrct for mx. I'm playing it by ear and pull i'm not disappointed now i know where i need more power.Wut you guys think

my blaster haha runs like 14.6 @ 59mphs in the 1/8

8.61 @ 73 mph, bone stock, fully strutted, on bald pro wedges. I think those tires are better than stock b/c they balloon on the top end

i have been meaning to get my 450 dynoed and take it to the strip. for experienced riders and mechanic's such as Chad, can you please answer this. could you please give me an educated guess...my 450 has... 04 450R: 14:1 JE piston, Stage II Hotcam, Ported and Polished, 5-angle valve job, K&N filter, full system Big Gun exhaust running on long travel elka shocks (very soft for dragging), and stock 20"s, stock gearing. is it possible to get high 7's with this? i'm guessing this runns a solid 50hp. thanks.

high 7's is very possible with that set up and the right rider and the right suspension.mine went 7.9 with 13.8 to 1 piston crf cam and sparks pipe.[

thanks for the reply. i'm a whopping 123 pounds at 5'5 so it's an advantage for power. hopefully my port/polishing, valve job will give me the extra edge too.

What gear ratio were you running to get this??? This is similar to my set-up. I'm going to order a TRC Yosh Ti system next week. Maybe that will help me out!

HI guys just for fun my bone stock 03 crf 450 (15 tooth sprocket)ran 8.3@85miles in 1/8th and 13.2@96.18 in 1/4. 60foot was 2.01 (not great) but alot of fun. When I get my 06 trx I will post times.(Still waiting in Canada) Have to wait till spring now snow on the dragstrip.!!!!!! Anyway just thought you might want to compare to the bike. It took a good street bike with a good rider to beat that 1/8th time. Have it on video but I have dialup. Sorry.
The fastest thing to 1/8 I have seen is a snowmobile(other than NHRA) there was one down there that day he blewwwwww me away.He was running low 9s @ like 140. thats cool.
