I am wondering if a 250 pound guy can do freestyle ridin a bomb ds650x. Its a big bike, and I am a big guy, but it accellerates hard and can take a 250 pound guy landing on it.
Just wondering if I can freestyle with this bike or if I should go by a 450. Or that new bomb 350 Fuel Injected thats comin out.

the fuel injected quad is guna be pretty fast and obviously have awsome acceleration. the 450 is goood because it can take bigger riders. if it were me i would go for the fuel injection cuz its guna work well with ur weight just buy aftermaket suspension. but its really up to u. thats just my opinion.

are you tall? cause im going to be honest with you if you're just flat out porky i would look toward losing some weight. Im not making fun of you but i know kids my height (5'10") who are 250 pounds and yyeah i just cant picture them being quick enough to do freestyle

hahaa no offense taken.
I am 6 foot Two. Freestyle ANYTHING at my size is a challenge because I am a big white canadian guy. I am great for football and rugby because I am big and very muscular, not fat at all. Just a rig hand that works out a lot. I am not worried about my speed at all really, just curious because I own a ds 650 Baja X. Its a great bike for me in the dunes and wide open areas, I dont really have a problem on the mx tracks and trails either because its not hard for me to throw around the bike at all. However, its my first sport quad (always rode utilities before, big 4x4s) I am new to riding this style of bike still, but am already surpassing my friends in the balls department. I plan to go racing studded tires on ice this winter, the guys Im riding with consistently place 4th or higher in all the races. (many are relay)
Anyways, most of them have little interest in FREESTYLE riding. The best of them does no handed look backs thats pretty much it. They got me into the sport on the idea of doing these races, and they all ride raptors and DSXs' so naturally I bought one. I am just curious if I got some elka suspension, would the bike fly high enough to pull off supermans and whatnot if I got the balls and speed. (thats my problem, just curious if the quad will make the air) I watched that bomb squad, now I am hooked. Just curious if anyone here has been able to pull **** off on a 650.

well hey man you're 6'2" 250 sounds like you have an athlectic build so yeha i would hop on a 450. Get some handle bars risers and a good set of -1" ac nerfs and you should be good to go. Of course you'll want some shocks soon because eventually they'll get spongy

hahaha... I know a 450 would do it. I am curious if anyones ever seen people bustin it out on a DS560 BajaX.
Id like to not have to spend another 6 grand if I dont have to.
Especially since I'd like to keep the bike for my racing any everything. I guess I should just line up behind a jump and hit it in 5th and see how high I go

they do it on 660r's so i think a ds would be able to. cant be that much heavier of a quad.
j/k unless you have the money i wouldnt go out and get a new quad. try it with the one you got first.

ask nacsracer12-he tries it!

Hahaha... Well, as long as the bike can do it, I know I can, just wasnt sure if these things flew through the air very well. I will probably get experience on this bike, then get elka suspension for it. And keep at it, if things are going good, then I will spend the money on the new Bomb thats comin out with the FI. Keep this one for my Ice Racing.
I will have to talk to that guy, see if hes got any advice on makin pigs fly

ds 650's are really nose heavy so id watch the landings if u do decide to try it...but it definatley has enough power to do it so i wish u the best of luck.
