It is looking like I am trading my R for a Dale. I have no experience with the Dales. I will be using it primarily as a trail bike. I am concerned that mud and water will bother the electronics. Should I be?

no, ther awsome in the water just make sure the front hood is sealed down like its supposed be thats where the computer is.

I will say that a cannondale is the best bike I've ever ridden for wet/muddy conditions. The location of the intake lets you paddle through some deep stuff if necessary.
