my stock grab bar is getting kind of crappy and i an most likely going to buy a prm or something. but i got down to look at how my old grab bar was mounted on and its directly connected to my subframe. if i buy a new grab bar how does it go on this thing?

the 03's don't have the detachable grab bars...........
only the 04's and the 05's have the detachable grab bars..
if you want to replace it(the grab bar) you have to buy a new sub frame...
be sure to get one that has the detachable grab bar..

im not sure if it well work fot the kfx,but on my 400ex i broke the grabar, bought a 300ex one and lined it up drilled holes then bolted it on. Sence then broke 2 others and still subframe and wholes are holding up.Hopes this helps

i thought about that but my delema is that the grab bar is actualy part of the sub frame, its all one piece of metal tubing, no welds, no bolts. i guess i could buy a new grab bar and have my uncle weld it on or weld a braket on there so i can bolt it up.

how much would a new or used subframe run me if i ever had to replace it?

I bought the Kaw brand.... same thing, 70 bucks cheaper..
