Rev limiter/jetting???

How can I tell if I am hitting the rev limiter or if my jetting is just off. I put on a full yoshi pipe and i have a stutter between 3/4 and full throttle in every gear.

Did you rejet it when you put the pipe on? My rev limiter will kick on when I am wide open only so I doubt it is your rev limiter. You could be running lean.What else do you have done to it? (open air box etc.) What main jet are you running?

something about yoshi pipes make all bikes studder. at least with my few experiences. A buddy of mine has been trying to jet his for 8 weeks and still no luck.

Mine runs great with the Yosh TRS. It's a touch faster than my buddys Curtis Sparks, he has a K&N too and I have a stock filter. I didn't touch my getting other than the HRC kit.

I am running the full hrc kit, with the exception of the yoshi pipe instead of the hrc end cap. I have put a bigger main jet and smaller main jet in with no success. I currently have the 185 main jet.

go to a 50 or a 52 pilot and it helped mine alot with starting and it had a sputter and it cleared it up, 185 is about right on the main but for instance i ru na 195 with my rossier and had to go to a 175 with my LRD pipe so i dont know about the yoshi, on an hmf i used a 178 i believe
