my 400ex wont start...

Ok, I just bought it yesterday and it ran fine. It was quite dirty so me and my friend gave it a good cleanin and then I just wanted to see if it'd start and it started right up. Then I went to pull it into the garage and he said he wanted to rince it off real quick so I let him. Then I pulled it back a bit, started it and pulled it in the garage but when i gave it gas it seemed like it wasn't taking off real quick, sort of like when it needs to warm up. But now it won't start, we just recharged the battery and we are going to get a new spark plug and K&N airfilter cleaner today. It has spark, but just a little bit. Anyone know what my problem is?

its fixed now, but it shot out a flame, and it was a big flame...like 1 foot

sounds like a jetting prob. to lean, up the jet a size or 2 mine did that when it was cold (when it was to lean)
