ive never used handguards before, and gonna get some for my 400ex. the catalog shows regular [looks like a single mount] and also powermadds with what looks like barkbusters on them, you know they attach through the grip ends. which ones are better? i dont know if i want that bar coming off my grip ends.

could someone post some pics with/ without those. thanks

w/ hand wrap

with out wrap around

Does the other end of the wrap around mount to the other bracket?

theres really no point of the wrap arounds on a quad because if a tree is gonna come even near the end the bars chances are the front wheel already hit so go without them theres no need

Alot of xc guys run them because it actually helps keep yours hands from sliding off the grips. I'll be getting a wrap around for mine soon

they are to protect your hands from branches and brush, not tree trunks

thanks for the pics, i'll probly just get em without the barkbusters, anyone had any problems getting caught on branches etc and breaking? or are they strong enough without the bar? thanks

ive been through extremley tight bush trails and i have been fine without them getting caught on branches and other stuff. they seem to be pretty strong but i have heard rollover stories and the handguards are alright

i bought my powermadds when they just came out, i have never seen that setup before, where can i get it at?

You can get the wrap arounds and add them to your current powermadds. Whoever you got your powermadds from should be able to get them for you.

BS

If a tree is leaning toward the trail or if the trail is an off camber you can hit your hands. TRUST ME it's possible..
