ok, i have a 400ex now and love it. i just had my bros quad worked on. it is a 89 blaster and we threw a new piston in it oil injection block off and a degree kee. that is all for engine parts. if the thing aint screemin it is bogen . i dont know maybe it is just that i am not a 2 stroker or is this thing f-ed up. because it bogs bad unless u aint rippen on the throtil . but when u are rippen on throtil she moves. my uncle said they like to screm and they dont like the idleing thing to much. is it gonna hurt the engine, bt is deffently differet from the stock. is it all becaus of the new piston. thanks. by the way same bore and stroke.

what ratio are you running that gas at? and also you might need to change the jet size.

Yep , its definetly a carb problem.
A blaster is supose to idle , they are the closest thing to a 4-stroke that is called a 2-stroke out there right now.

You might just need to take your carb apart and clean it good. My son has a 89 blaster that ran like crap when we first got it, a good carb cleaning got it idling and running 10x better...
