I just finished boring my 2005 400ex to a 416ex. at first i just had a LRD pro 4 series full exhaust with a jet kit and a K&N air filter. it was a nice power gain. really woke up the quad. but i was looking for a little more power. ill be racing in sand this year and i no sand tends to take a little of your power so i decided to go with a 416 bore that my buddy kinda talked me into. acually he was doin a 416 kit but with a JE piston and stroker crank that he just finished his about 2 weeks ago. but i just did the bore with a weisco 11:1 piston and a stage 2 hot cam. it really pulls now. but im very happy with my decision(thanks Luke and Jon) and i recommend a 416 bore to everyone. ill post a few pics prob tomarrow

How do u like the power of the 416 is it even worth it because in want to make mine a 416 because i want mopre power but still reliable.

JR3 i have it and my buddy has a 400ex with cam piston crank stock stroke but balanced and trued and regeared as high as possible and mine beats him when i am in 4th pineed and he is in 5th tapped out im still ahead and pulling away from him it make a HUGE difference you will be amazed with the power gains

thanks i really like em, i got a pretty good deal from nacs. i think the 416 is def. worth it JR3 the only thing that bothers me is that it runs a little hotter. but you will have that with a bore kit and high compression piston heres another pic [IMG]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v492/honda250ex7/416003.jpg[/IMG]

lookin good mat. ya u need to get a carb for that hog!! and about the higher engine temp i told you how to fix that

run 20w50 it will help alot. looked like it ran good for jon on friday nite. did u rejet yet??

i think i payed 60 for the scoops, again i got a really good deal from nacs cuz im sponsored. but they def make it look better. cool the engine at high speeds too.
