ok i went to turn my mixture screw up a little today and it is really stiff like to the point where i couldnt turn it. how do i fix this or is this normal?

are you sure you were turning the right screw? just curious because there is another screw on the carb that looks similar and it is a drain for the bowl. if it was the right one, i would probably take the carb apart and clean the heck out of it including removing all jets

it was the screw to the right of the idle screw. thats what i heard was the mixture screw

did it point to the side or down??? the mixture scew points down.
I say take the carb off and the screw out and clean everything really good like cals said

when the carb is on the bike, the screw faces exactly vertical.

the one on the side of the carb is the drail plug. both are about equidistant to the idle adjustment. the fuel screw is much harder to get too probably.
