ok i did the tests on the electrical.. i ohmed out the coil from the connector on the back to the boot nothing, removed boot still nothing. the book says its supposed to have around 7 ohms. has anyone ohmed theirs out and got the proper reading??

You got your ohmmeter on the correct range.I did that once, ohm everything and would get nothing on the coil.I had to go to a different range on the meter.

also are the reeds suppossed to be close, no gap. mine have a gap on both.
