I have no headlight..the bulb is good, the tail light works fine..but i have no headlights...any easy way to determine what the problem is? Thanks in advance

check and make sure the bulb is good. if not get a new one. make sure there is power going to the light. if not check switch and all connections.

i know for sure the bulb is good. if the light switch is on, the taillight will come on..but the headlight wont..are they run on completely seperate wires? thanks

check and make sure the bulb is completey plugged in. if u have a volt meter check and make sure power is going to the bulb.

or at east a test light, alot of times bulbs will still look fine and will be smoked, a test light is your pal

make sure the green(ground) wire is tight, you should get power from either the blue or white(both, forget which is hi and low

)

i pulled thebulb out and gave it power through a battery charger so i know for sure its fine. i may just tap into my taillight wire and run it to the bulb somehow. if i cant find the problem

Did you ever find out what the prblem was, I can not get my headlight to work on my 88 either and it is driving me nuts, new bulb, traced all the wiring and it looks good.....

Do you have a multi meter? If you do check at the bulb if you have voltage, if not go down the wire and go to next connection to see if you have voltage. Sometimes the plug will drive you nuts.

maybe your harness is screwed up? I had to cut mine off because the last stupid owner put a 100w car bulb in there and it was burnt to a crisp. No wonder it didn't work. I haven't fixed it yet, but I'm just going to crimp plugs on it, and plug it directly onto the bulb.

Ok, let's use some simple logic, here.

You tested the bulb by hooking it up to a different source. The bulb is good.

Your tail light comes on with your switch. This tells you that you DO have power coming from your stator, so it looks like your stator is good. If it doesn't blow when you rev the engine, it also indicates the voltage regulator is working.

The only thing left in the entire circuit is the wiring. I'd check that if I were you.
