Hot cams=no more compression release?

Well, I'm in the process if installing a 440 kit and hot cams in my KFX.
The hot cams dont have a compression release like the stock ones do.
The instructions say (vaguely) that you need to get a manual compression release.
What the F-bomb?
How and where do I get a manual release?
Do I need one?
Will the stock starter handle without it? It's going to be a 12:1 compression 440. Im thinking, No.

Please clear this up for me. Thanks a lot.

You do not need a manaul lever. It will work fine. Mine started fine in all my 440s,just not my 450 stroker. I had to go to the Yoshimura ones-they have it.

The new exhaust cam from Hot Cams now has the auto decompression device. I have a high compression Z455 and it will wear the battery down when the moter is hot. I have a new cam on the way so that should take care of the problem.
