went riding today the r ran great but there a little rattling noise i can hear somewhere from the middle to the front. i was looking for a bolt or nut and still couldnt find out what it was. have any ideas?

pipe joint seal, kicker starter, exhaust spring. could also be a loose skid mount, frame skid, loose brake pad.. etc

Could you elaborate a little on this? The R that I ride is bored out to a 256 and has a rattle even after a rebuild coming from the motor.

It depends on what kind of noise your hearing... Ive NEVER seen an R that didnt have that tick/taping sound. I run NOTHING but Wiseco's in all my stuff, trick is to let the forged piston warm up and expand a little before taking off.

Is it like a "wood block" tap or sound like real "metallicy"(

) sound?

Sure it isnt a tired balancer bearing?

Yeah Jeremy is right all 4 R's , mine and my buddies two 86's TRX's and ATC all have the famous little ticking noise. At first I was alarmed but it is normal. I rebuilt my counterbalancer, crank, and top end and it still had the little tick so believe me it is normal.
