ok my friend has a bone stock 03 300EX and when me and him drag race i spank him off the line. but once im topped he goes past me

he weighs well over 180 and im about 150. how the hell is this happening becasue its not me it doesnt take skill to go wide open on a long stretch of grass.maybe his is geared really high. im clueless. and when he was on his dads praire with a speedometer my top speed was 60

i thought stock 400s were faster than that and mine has a slip on pipe tuned for speed

he must have changed his gearing cuz 300s top out at 55 mph, hows your jetting? did you change sprockets ever/ tire sizes? yes a stock 400 should top out at 68mph?

stcok 400ex does 65 ish the 300ex does 52 ish and unless he has a powerful motor he wouldnt be able to pull the gears to go 70+mph

did you try shifting into 5th? j/k. I don't know what it could be other than him being geared higher.

well maybe you jetting is off, I think that is your problem, check you plug.

I can hit 60 in 3rd gear with the 500ex
