Randy builds nice bikes, but I wouldnt say its the best setup. If it is I wouldnt admit it because I dont like the way he has a bloated opinion of himself But he has come up with some kool custom designs like his air filter and gas tank setup. He builds his to 465 strokers.

I've heard really good things about the strokers built by timbomoose at cdalers. He just did mine with a stock bore atk piston and a stroker crank with new rod and pin. I will let yall know what I think of it when I get it back together. Some of the guys on the site are going with one of his stroker cranks + a 450 piston kit or even bigger. Not sure what the displacement is, but Ive heard they can be hard to hang on to. Slap some good suspension on it and I dunno what more I would want!

Like you know what your talking about!

Posted by: tat

I would say it, but I must hold back on this one because of the mature content. It would be a big shot BETWEEN the legs! I might be last, but Im still ahead of you.

Posted by: PeeWee21

Yeah it would, we could settle this through pm's. I'll call in a little while. Did you call early Sunday?

Posted by: YamaWarr0121

a few mistakes from a cannondale vet that i picked up that you said Tat..

stainless filters - a huge no no
cooling additive? just get a new valve cover or pc old one
oil additive? nah, go with redline oils you'll be happy

Posted by: tat

Just tellin you guys what works for me. the valve cover has been fixed for awhile.ive run this setup for awhile, no motor problems here. something must be right with this setup, its been runnin strong since july 2002.

Posted by: armoks

the stainless oil filters are not that bad Iv'e run them in all of my dale motors, the same things happen with stainless and paper filters.

Posted by: happyboy

all depends on which SS oil filter. The factory ones let too large of particle through. Much larger than paper.

Posted by: tat

factory ss doing good for me, but i change the fluids every 2hrs max. im not saying that stops the larger particles going through the filter, but ive never seen any large particles run through it yet.

Posted by: happyboy

How would you see large particles run through it?

Posted by: tat

not actually see it while its running, but when you change the oil or do a complete flush of the oil system. thats what i meant. i havent seen any disturbing things pop out any where.

Posted by: happyboy

bit of free advice....get rid of the factoy SS filter. Use paper or an aftermarket SS filter. Read more over at cannondaleriders.com

Posted by: tat

my only problem with that is i have been running this thing with the factory filter since july of 2002, i havent had a problem yet(knock on wood) doesnt say that im not going to.certain things on this quad hasnt been touched.bearings,brakes,etc. to be honest, i havent had one problem out of the whole bike, nothing period.i dont think i should change the filter. 3 years on the same filter, its run 10 months out of the year.this is my opinion though, i just dont think i need to change it.
