I'm confused about what you're asking. Are you asking how to "whip" a quad?
Posted by: mxquadracer
Or do you want to know how to make coolwhip?

you can do a whip a foot off the ground its doent matter how high you are just decides how big of a whip it is..bu i you have big air lean and push with you boot hard to one side then lean the other way and take you foot off the peg on the down side and push with the other side to bring it back

get a 450r you'll be whipping it all the time ( not intentionally ether) and then you'll break an ankle like me and be sick of whipping . i'm sorry but i'm sick and tired of people WHANTING to whip a fourwheeler. if your really whant to ,buy mine and you'll be looking sweet all the time. o but it only whipps to the right if that makes a diff. ......... sorry had to vent i hate my 450 because of this..

Well there's two different ways to "whip" a quad: The first is when the rearend swings out to the side, sort of like a fishtail in midair. These are more difficult to do intentionally, most of the time it happens by accident because the lip of the jump wasn't exactly straight (quad-friendly). This type of whip makes for a harsh landing that almost throws you off the side
What I do is "tweak" the quad. Others call it a turndown but these are easy to bring back. Doesn't matter how high you are, like someone said above you can do them a foot off the ground, just depends how good you are at them. First you need to find out which "way" you go so to speak. Many people, including myself have a hard time tweaking the quad both ways. I tweak the quad down to the left, you'll know which one is for you because it will feel most natural
So basically I get some air, then I turn the bars down to the left while pushing down on the bars in that direction. At the same time, I move all my body to the opposite right side, which is now the highest point on the quad. In moving upward to the high side, I have my left leg sticking out straight on top of the seat because all the rest of my body is now on the right side of the quad. Then when it's time to land, recenter your body on the quad and pull the bars back straight to where they should be.
It sounds complicated, but it's hard to explain. The more you practice them, the smoother you'll get. Eventually you can put some of your own style into it like turning the bars up while you tweak the quad down, this takes a bit more skill though. Good luck, you'll be doin them in no time!
