blown front brakes?

Hey guys,
I recently discovered that my front tires weren't turning very well. So I took off the tires and discovered that that brakes were dragging. I pressed back one of the pads several times by pinching the ears with pliers. Than of course I had to pump the front brake several times to get the pads to make contact again. My problem is that now my front brakes feel different...weaker if you will. Could I have screwed something up by opening the disks up like that? Your suggestions would be welcome.. thanx

Have you considered that maybe you did not get the brake recall done on your Pred. maybe you could call the dealer or factory with the serial number and see if you have the updated version.

I can’t remember exactly what the recall was it had do with replacing the little metering valve box in the front of the Pred. is it both front or one.

That is a great idea! Thanx, I'll do that. I'm just mad that I didn't think of it myself. I didn't know they could tell by the serial number if it was done or not. Thanx again.

I have read many forums about the front brake drag and this is the first I heard of a recall. Any idea if this includes the 05's. I have an TLD that I truely enjoy, but the front brakes suck.

the recall has NOTHING to do w/ the brake drag! It is simply two brackets that give a little more "slack" in the lines
