well i just got my uni airfilter in the mail for my 400ex. should i buy the uni filter cleaner? i have k&n but idk. some ppl are telling me to buy an outerwear and take off the lid. does anyone know where a good link is for a black outerwear?

what i really want to know is what should i use to clean it and such. also tell me all the procedures to do it right

I used to have a UNI. I would clean it with soap and water, get all the dirt out, dry it (do not twist to dry!)..when dry apply your filter oil...remove excess oil...and you're good to go.

You can get outerwears at rockmountianatv for about $10 for the uni

dont use k & n filter oil on a foam filter because it wont hold in it ....just buy some pj1 or anykind of filter oil that says its made for a foam filter will work

No, no you cant, the only ones they have are for the K&N.
