Heres mine Trav. I dont know if you saw it on the 3ww readers rigs. Got a K&N filter and im waiting on my DG Pipe to come in.
Posted by: TravEX
looks great!!! are those all-traks on the rear?
I still need to rebuild my front master cylinder and put my EX wheels and tires on,,,
later

the rear tires are Ohtsu H Trak PV 702, the front is cheng shin something.
the guy i bougt it from (2nd owner) said the factory tires were bald so he replaced them. i guess he wanted to maintain the stock look or something.
i would have put some 20" square profiles like holeshots, turf tamers, whatever. 22" is kinda tippy to me. i think it would handle alot better on 20s. but the tires have about 75% tread left so i am gonna keep them a while longer.
Posted by: TravEX
I'm thinking bout going with 22" for more gear,,,the gearing is way too short right now, and the added ground clearnace would help, i do lots a trail riding, and woods riding,,,later

i just picked up today an 1982 atc 185 for 45 bucks, it has good compression and ran last fall, the wiring is a mess though so i am going to re wire it and try to get it running, it will be my play bike
Posted by: TravEX
CR- i like the R!!!
BBB- sounds like a good deal!!!
Posted by: bigbadbrad
dude its awsome, i put a new plug, sorted out the wires some, and within 3 pulls it started right up, then it stalled because i frogot that i turned the fuel off, after i turned it on with a little pish of starter fluid and and a couple of pulls and turning the gas on it started right up. for 50 bucks i got my self an allright 3 wheeler, its friggen awsome it runs like a charm also on top of that, i think i am going to rebuild thecarb, put a cobra pipe on it and a k&n on the carb

my trike isnt quite a trike anymore try to get some pictures soon
Posted by: 350x_mutt
i dont know why he did it but my grandfather put in the oldest motor he could find in it and put a quardracer front end on it. but i do like where he put the motor he pulled in. the tank and back half of the bike are still 350x but he ruined the plastics and put 110 plastics on and but the older (dull) maier plastics on the front and left the headlight and rear plastics shiny. but its still a trike at heart. ill find and scan a picture from the eighties with an early 200 with a megacycle equipped 74 sl250 he blew up going up a hill. back when all there was for power were the early r's in fact got an 82 shock i want to sell off an 82 or 84 r
Posted by: TravEX
interesting,,,is that a dirt bike motor?
Posted by: TravEX
what is the rear brake off of? not 350X. What is the frame?
Posted by: 350x_mutt
sorry i cant post any pictures but the motor is an old xl350 centerport motor. the rear swingarm setup, as far as i know, is stock and lokking over a buddies 350x it seems to be the original back brake.
the frame is a modified 350x frame.
30 seconds later
the back master cylender is a 350x but welded a new mount straight up and down to use the 110 pedal and peg setup. sorry just realized what u were talking about. yeah just rebuilt it

Thanks!
I bought the R over the winter and rebuilt the whole machine. Ended up needing more work than I thought, but thats how it goes when dealing with 20 year old machines. The 185s was bought back in 83 by my uncle, I've owned it for about 10 years or so. The only thing I've changed on it was I switched the foot pegs to the folding type off the 200s vs the solid rubber stock pegs.
