Thanks, the nerf bars got tacked into place yesterday, they look like lil sprint car nerfs, gotta break it down for the final welding, then get it blasted and coated. Bodywork is in primer right now, lil man wants it to be silver with green flames, so that is what he gets.

I'll get a picture posted of yesterdays work posted ASAP.

What class would you run it in?Where cac I find more info on it?That thing is just sic!

Posted by: walker054

i heard he ran in an open class at a race in oklahoma, i thought jody said it was either flat track or tt, talk to jody at JB Racing he is the one that built it.

Posted by: joshridina400ex

that bike could race in the blaster class. it would smoke a blaster.

Posted by: red rider88

no it couldnt. To race in tht class u have to have stock frame and engine cass.

Posted by: joshridina400ex

i not talking about nationals im talking about local races.

Posted by: red rider88

Ya but dont u think someone would notice?

Posted by: QuadR8cer12

Thomas brown Races the TQRA series in Texas and Oklahoma. He races that quad in the "A" and Open 4 stroke classes. Next year he will be racing the 250 f in a 4 stroke open class at nationals. He was the 90 mod national champion last year for the ATVA mx series. He is not old enough to ride his new yz 250f quad at nationals this year.

Thomas also just got done filming with Dan Guetter from Akraix Entertainment. If you really want to so what this can do be sure to check out the video when it is released! Its going to be sick!

Lil mans fiddy update........got the frame back, gonna go back to get redone. Not happy with the outcome, back to the sandblasters, then to a new powdercoater.

Really? Is it that easy? Man who woulda thought about that? Too bad the mini fiddy is like the Eton 40.

No spacers, no seperate wheel hubs. It has splined wheels, if you got the inside track on offset wheels that fit those machines, speak up, we got some money to spend.

Predator 90 of Taylor Seale. It is actually for sale now. Taylor rides a Team Hetrick Kasea 90 now.

Posted by: status56

Here is another view of it.

Posted by: ohski

Very nice looking Popo...

Wade

Posted by: 250xdude

Holy crud, that is a nice pred 90! Just curious, why would you sell it after all that work and can you really get more out of a kasea 90 than a predator 90 with the same mods.

Posted by: status56

I thought the same way you did at first. I thought this was the baddest machine. Which it is awsome, don't get me wrong. But after joining the Hetrick Team and riding the Kasea w/dual a arms and the long travel suspension, it is almost like night and day in his riding. Speed wise they are very close. And looks wise the Predator is hard to beat. You can check out the Hetrick site under used inventory to see the list of mods. Taylor probaly dropped app 10 seconds off his lap time after the switch. I'm probably not helping out selling the machine, but it is awsome. It's just that Taylor was out riding the machine. This would be an awsome bike for most kids.

Posted by: 250xdude

I don't blame you, that hetrick kasea is in another league for sure.

Would you contibute the duel a-arms soley for the the 10 seconds off the his lap time?

Posted by: status56

No. It has a lot to do with it, but he has so much confidence now and has stepped it up another notch or two. I would attribute it to his ability and confidence more. But the handling is awsome. He has come a long way in the 1 year he has been racing. The Kasea flies so much truer and lands softer. He was clearing a 35 ft double at his last race and hits tabletops wide open. He cleared all but 10 - 15 ft of a 70 ft tabletop. By the way, Taylor is my 10 yr old nephew. I didn't want you to think I was just a bragging dad.

I saw it all with my own two eyes. Taylor absolutely ripped up that track!!! and his new Kasea is bad ***!

My uncle just bought this KTM mini for his son Tyler. We need front rims and then it's ready for the track. I can't wait to see him on this quad. He has tore up a pred 90 and a yamoto 110, This should do the trick.

Ok, you can't drop a bomb on us like that... What is that quad based off of..? I've never seen a dual a-arm set up like that. What KTM motor does it have in it..?

Wade

Oh, well that would be a pretty good size quad then. Quite a bit bigger than something like an Eton 90 huh???

Wade

Posted by: MOD 50cc DAD

the quad does look small. maybe its a combo of sorts. One thing for sure is it's not 100% KTM just the motor

Posted by: QuadJunkies

inquiring minds want to know!!!

Originally posted by MOD 50cc DAD

While there are similarities to a blaster frame, there are many differences as well. The lower a-arms on the "KTM" are mounted about 2" farther back than the blaster. The top shock mount on a blaster is attached to a down tube that runs diagonally down to the bottom of the frame just in front of the foot brake. This frame doesn't seem to have one. The last thing I noticed was that the frame tube running up from the foot peg has more forward bend in it than the blasters that runs straight up.

I am curious to find out what it is!

Posted by: Arctic Cat Dad

It is AC plastic because it looks just like Michael's quad, but red plastic. I always wondered what it would look like with cut front fenders and nerfs. WICKED looking. now I want to cut the fenders and get nerfs. To bad we XC race and not MX. We need the extra pertection for the woods. I can't see the engine. I have a Polini 50cc engine water cooled and a Morini s5gs 50cc engine I was thinking about sinking into a quad, The Polini has 13 HP it would rip! The Morini has about 6hp.

Posted by: AtvMxRider

KTM does not make a mini quad

Posted by: Arctic Cat Dad

We know that we were just trying to figure what all it was made of. It' looks good. I would like to see KTM make a mini with the 65 engine. It is a very very good engine very tuff. It is already race proven for years unlike the cobra engine.

Posted by: Ohtu02

We just had a new swingarm and some a arm/frame work done by K-Fab. Had it painted etc. Here's Kye flying the double at Village Creek on his Kasea 90. We got 10.5 inches of travel out of the rear. Once we get the correct rollers in we'll get our top speed back.

Cheers,

Daniel Pirrie

Posted by: MployeeAdaMonth

I can say for a fact that this bike bike rips, we have seen it in action plenty of times. It used to be sporting Elkas though

Posted by: ohski

Wow, a lot of work must have gone into taking a bike frame and converting into a quad. More R&D than most of us have time for. It sure does look nice and the KTM 65 is a very nice choice. We’re hoping to get Austin off the Pro 50 and onto a 65 soon, much less maintenance.

in these pics it was still only 105cc.

We are now putting the finishing touches on the winter build up. Weve grafted a CR80 water cooled cylinder on it, with a real dual pedal reed cage, 26mm stock banshee carb, stroked the crank 8mm, bore the cyl 2mm, locked up the rear clutch, hydrolic rear brake, 5" of front suspension travel, 4.5" in the rear. extended the rear end out +2", carbon fiber axle, 21-12-8 (8) paddle gliders. Bike should pull 50+ mph in the 100yd sand drags. The new foot print (wheel base) is the same as a blaster.

My son has a Polini bike he's draged and it's 50cc and it broke 50 in that run.
It's fun.

Anyway nice quads . Have fun and be safe. And enjoy!

I build em...well, I have the beams built, then precision ground to 40mm, then use billet hubs from a local supplier. Total weight of the axle as you see it is under 7lbs. The beam alone in 34" length weights 2.2 lbs.

Cost of an axle is $1500

Here are a couple shots of it

in these pics it was still only 105cc.

What did you have to do to put a banshee carb on there. I'm thinking of putting one on my Predator. And who makes that front bumper.

Posted by: dirtmomma

the bumper almost looks like a PRM?? Thats what I have on my 300

The new cylinder is from a CR80, that uses a standard type reed cage and seperate rubber intake manifold...Just heat in in hot water and stretch it over the carb.

The front bumper was on the bike when I bought it....tho it does look like a PRM

NICE we have quite a few of these little buggers @ our tracks, most are running CR80 shifters, but there are a few original thumpers that are pretty fast. Heck a couple years ago my son on his blaster got beat by one w/ a cr80 in it he wasn't very happy LOL but he did beat it in the main

Posted by: dvxxx400

Yeah.. She rides the in the class below the 90mods, next year we will have to go to 90mod, and spend a bunch of money. as most of those have hand built frames.

Could I just use the lucky 7 intake in stead of getting a cr80 cylinder?lucky 7 intake And then get a banshee or blaster carb between 28mm and 32mm.

Posted by: dunatic

I dont know...my carb comes straight off the motor, this looks like it turns up

My engine in my Predator has a horizontal cylinder not vertical so the intake has to have that shape for the carb to sit flat.

Posted by: dunatic

then that should work. keep in mind that you have to have balance.........meaning, that you if your carb is way bigger then your porting and exhaust, it will jsut be a waste and your throttle response will suck....except for maybe wide open

Thats why I went ahead and bought my Son a TRX250EX, he can grow into it as well as add Mods for a long time. he is 10 and was able to ride my wifes TRX250, so I just didn't start him on it not knowing if he was able to or not.

Posted by: 3-D Racing Dad

I hope to get at least 2 more years, mabey 3 out of this one. He's going to be a tall boy we'll just have to see..

What chassis is that on DJ's quad Bergy?

Posted by: Bergy

It's a Fischer chassis. Most of the new mods are JB Chassis, they're pretty much identical actually. As far as I know most parts interchange between the two. Jody @ JB does an excellent job of building these frames & components. This one happens to be a Fischer because it was a complete quad at time of purchase otherwise JB would have built him one.

DJ's quad complete as a mod 90 now.

Hey Bergy. I remember seeing you at Glen Helen. I was the guy that talked to you about the heal guards for the 90 Mod. Bike lloks good and your son is a really good rider. Hope to see you again next year when my son is riding. He just got his cast off yesterday.

Posted by: Bergy

That was DJ's dad Duane you talked to in Cali. I am a good family friend of theres back in WI. I spend a lot of time with them at a local series in WI in the summer and I maintain his website. Sorry for any confusion, most people think when I post pics I am just another proud papa.
