Ours wont fit on the back corrrectly due to the pipe being in the way they are the 7x10, I couldnt find any smaller ANYWHERE in time for this upcoming wk end . ALso, doesnt having one on the friont effect the cooling having that big of a plate on the front ??

this is what I mean for the rear pipe in the way . I dont see a way around this

I know you don't want to here this but I'm gonna tell you anyway. The pipe on my boy's Viper was the same way. I took the silencer apart and cut it down about 2". This way I can still stand the quad up on its grab bar. The problem is it burns a hole in his # plate now. I think the better pipes have a bend in them before the silencer that moves them over and out of the way. I plan on getting a new # plate and some of that reflective insulation and putting that on the back of the new plate.

Check Raths site under mini and look at the grab bar for the Kymco. If you look close enough it appears to bolt on the same as many of the mini set ups. I need to call and get the width. It has number plate mounts too.

thanks Greenroom, Ill check that out !

I just ordered 3 from Rath. They fit the Predator 90 I think the mounting width is 71/2 inches.

So how will that still make it so it clears the pipe???

Drill 2 holes in the grab bar and use sheet metal screw to attach the # plate to the grab bar high enough to clear the pipe.

Like the 717 bike. I have seen them raised higher than that also

From what I can see, the new grab bar is longer in length. You have to cut the factory one off at the rear support. When I get them I will post a pic if I don't forget. I am really suprised there are not more out there. The factory ones are very hard to get your hands in there when trail riding.

Im just surprised there isnt a better plate system thats smaller for the kids mini quads myself!

Posted by: Greenroom

Never thought of it that way.

lol

We found a way to get threw the wk end at WORCS.

Tina,

I'm not sure how it will work out for you. I don't have an aftermarket pipe on my daughter's quad...yet!

However, I came across these guys at a race last year. I really liked there clean custom look. A friend cut me out a piece of plexiglass and put the number plates on that. Front and back.

It's hard to tell, but the number plate might be narrow enough so the pipe can fit around the plate.

Here's a picture of the front plate which is the same as the rear.

those are NICE!! I like that idea!!

The rear wont work that way , we needed up just zip tieing it up higher in a more upright position rather than under the grab bar if that makes any sense, it doesnt look too good, but it helps to just get threw the race I guess.

on bubbas eton and all of the wrh quads we drilled the grab bar and number plate and bolted it just high enough to clear the pipe. some have to run the 7x10 number plates because the national rules say you have to.

thats pretty much how we done ours just with zip ties threw the plate and around the grab bar.. Held up good, until Brandon rolled his quad!
