im not trying to discourage you from building a pit cuz they are awesome but i was just wondering if you knew that every peice of foam costs like 1.25 and your going to need several thousand peices of it. you can prob collect foam from couch coushins and stuff like that but that stuff can ignite easy, not heat resistant, not chemical resitant, and degrades fast. i wouldnt reccomend anything but the proper kind of foam for any type of motorized vehicle

its cool man i was just lookin for a price range for some foam anyway but thats pretty expensive but thanks anyway

i heard that brian deegan and lots of other dirtbike freestylers got their foam from the nearest fabrick store and the store cut them a deal.

you can get some of them styrofoam packing peanuts at the local ups store or fedex or w/e

hahaha it would be so funny to land in packing peanuts cuz they would spray everywhere when you landed. bad news tho cuz they would melt against the motor and exhaust and then the gas would leak all over them and make them into napalm (dont try that at home kiddies) and wow yeah that would be a horrible horrible fire hazard.

your pretty much stuck payin a high price for foam...thats why you dont ever see a lot of pits. if foam was affordable everybody would have one

try looking at furniture stores, where ever they build matresses or furniture will have old stock or scrap
