would it be okay for me to drill a hole in my swingarm to get to my grease zerk on my after market carrier and use a pipe plug to cover the hole and make it water tight. what do you guys think of this.

Sounds like a pretty good idea to me. Is that pipe plug threaded? The only problem might be that the swingarm metal would be too thin to thread. Either way it's a cool idea, you could use just about anything to plug the hole, and silicone it shut.

yeah it would be ok it you covered it up after but if water and dirt gets up into your carrier it will screw it all up and were it out so fast

wouldn't you have to drill a long hole cause when you adjust your chain you turn the carrier inside the swingarm and you'd have to have a place for the zerk to move to

First, you would drill the hole where the zerk is. To grease it, you would have to turn the carrier until it all lines up.

so the zerk on the carrier doesn't stick out so far that it would hit the swingarm? if not then I might have to try this out!
