Always a work in progress in my garage... Still need exhaust, stem and bars. Motor will get a cam and piston i the next week or so... Haven't decided what exhaust or stem I will go with yet. Going with Tag T2 bars. My new shocks (Works) should be here anytime... My good friend and genius raptor motor builder, Bob Craycraft, says LTE or Barker duals for exhaust. He said if I can't afford either of those to go with a Spark's X-6 Big Bore, which would be considerably cheaper than either dual setup. Other than that he say's it all junk unless you have a basic stock jetted bike. I have a big ride planned the first weekend in June and have planned to have ti all done by then... I will post more pics when I get nearer to completion...

go with sparks or LRD duals are for looks only
Posted by: Bronson90
An answer with no knowledge from a person with little knowledge about the subject. I get sick and tired of all the blow hards hijacking posts on all the forums. You guys read these magazine articles and then act like you have a freaking Phd in the subject. You could read 1000 articles, I don't care, you still don't know anything. You may know a perspective that is presented in that article. Until you go out and buy and test it yourself, then why respond. I don't know it all, but I will tell you one thing... I won't say a word or post anything to topic I know nothing about.
No offense but your lack of specific knowledge based experience doesn't weigh high in my regards. Your comment was a joke. You obviously aren't aware of Bob Craycraft and the motors he builds or you wouldn't have spouted off like you did. Anyone with any knowledge about Raptors knows what Crafycrafy Racing motors are capable of. Heck, my two year old daughter knows what Craycraft motors are all about. Now for my knowledge based experience... I have riden his bikes and I have physically seen his bikes on the dyno, afterwards holding the test results in my hands. For instance a built Craycraft Raptor with Barker duals produces 91.5 documented rear wheel horsepower, no nitrous. That same exact Craycraft built Raptor produces 87.3 documented rear wheel horsepower with straight drag headers (no silencer). Last but no least, that same built motor with a Sparks X-6 Big Core system produced only 82.9 documented rear wheel horsepower. It is clear that duals aren't just for looks. I would bet my Raptor that your bike as it sits makes less rear wheel horsepower and is slower than it would be if your had a decent set of duals on it (i.e. Barker or LTE, etc.) Bob has built and shipped motors to more than ten countires NOT in the northern hemishpere... There is no if ands or buts about it, how can you argue with dyno tested results...
Posted by: bombsquad54
calm down turbo! lol i think it was just an opinion. i like the sparks exhaust on any quad, because there cheap! you get what you pay for.
Posted by: 660r_freestyler
i think its time some one pull your thong out of your *** dude..its an opinion..this so call motor builder guy sayd that all the other pipes are nothing? well im running an LRD and its kicks *** its not just nothing i beat most craptors i go up against
Posted by: Bronson90
You haven't beat and will never beat one of his Raptors. Mr. Craycraft isn't the end all, but his opinion is highly respected and sought after in the industry. He has people lined up, paying upto and more than $7000 and sometimes waiting months. He turns down work... Knowing that 95% of all Raptors are basically stock, just bolt on performance (i.e jetting, exhaust, etc.) most exhaust pipes available, like your LRD work great in those typical applications... But builts motors require a un restricted free flowing exhaust and duals provide just that.
Posted by: Racing Rice
Bronson right guys.. On a near stock quad you can get away with just about anything. There will only be a couple HP difference at most between most exhausts. However on a heavily built motor especially one with a good size BBK, you need more. Thats where the duals will really shine.
Posted by: 660r_freestyler
well hell i didnt know we were talken a bored motor then duals would be great becuase it need the extra air flow..ok no confilct here

Posted by: tater_kamik

So far I have a Yosh slip on, shock covers, Akraix Graffix kit, AC Nerfs that I just received. I will also be installing a New suspension this winter. It will have tripple rate Elka's with rezzies, and IMS Roll +2 steering stem, and IMS Roll Design A-arms. I just need to save a little more cash to finish up my Raptor project. Then I will be hitting the track to take on the competition.

No I wasn't, I didn't get my 700R till August. I actually got the very first one out the door at The Cycle Barn in Wa. state
I do plan a trip to St Anthonys this coming spring, I don't have the dates nailed down yet. By then I should have the rest of my mods done
